UFC On ESPN 9 Final Betting Odds

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley returns to action tonight. Woodley, who has not set foot inside the octagon since he lost his title via a one-sided decision to Kamaru Usman in March 2019, faces rising threat Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC on ESPN 9.

Woodley was on a seven-fight unbeaten streak when Usman defeated him in the co-main event of UFC 235. Woodley defended the title four times during his title reign, which began in 2016 with a first-round knockout win over Robbie Lawler. Burns is on a five-fight winning streak heading into Saturday’s fight card. Burns, who is a former lightweight, moved up to 170 pounds during the summer of 2019. He is on a 3-0 run at welterweight. Woodley is the No.1 ranked fighter in the official UFC welterweight rankings, while Burns enters the five-round scrap as the No. 6 ranked 170-pound fighter. 

A heavyweight bout between Blagoy Ivanov and Augusto Sakai serves as the co-headliner at UFC on ESPN 9. Ivanov, who is the former Professional Fighters League heavyweight champion, is 2-2 in the UFC. His most recent fight was a split-decision loss to Derrick Lewis in November. Sakai is on a five-fight winning streak. Three of his victories have come under the UFC banner. Sakai’s most recent fight was a 59-second knockout win over Marcin Tybura in September. Ivanov is the No. 12 ranked UFC heavyweight, while Sakai checks in one spot under his opponent in the official rankings. 

Before the top two bouts at UFC on ESPN 9 take place, Kevin Holland faces Daniel Rodriguez in a welterweight scrap. Holland is coming off a May 16 TKO win over Anthony Hernandez in a middleweight scrap. Rodriguez is on a seven-fight winning streak. He scored a submission win over Tim Means in his UFC debut, which took place in February. 

UFC on ESPN 9 takes place tonight at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. ESPN will broadcast the entire event. ESPN+ will also stream the fight card.
