Weigh-In Info

Only one fighter missed weight on Friday, and that was Brok Weaver. He is scheduled to meet Roosevelt Roberts on Saturday, but Weaver weighed in at 157.5 pounds, which is 1.5 pounds over the allowed weight for a non-title lightweight bout. This misstep will cost him 20 percent of his purse.

Spike Carlyle (150) and Billy Quarantillo (149.5) are competing at a 150-pound catchweight, and both fighters weighed in successfully on Friday.

The main event between former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns is official. Both men weighed in successfully with Woodley hopping on the scales first, and tipping the scales at 170.5.

Burns weighed in close to the end of the session, and he checked in at 170.5 as well.

Late Replacement

Kevin Holland was originally supposed to face Daniel Rodriguez, but an injury forced the former out. “Gifted” Gabriel Green stepped in to replace him. Green successfully weighed in at 170.5 for the fight.

Here is a look at all of the weigh-in results:

  • Tyron Woodley (170.5) vs Gilbert Burns (170.5)
  • Blaygoy Ivanov (255.5) vs Augusto Sakai (259.5)
  • Billy Quarantillo (149.5) vs Spike Carlyle (150)
  • Roosevelt Roberts (156) vs Brok Weaver (157.5)*
  • Mackenzie Dern (115.5) vs Hannah Cifers (115.5)
  • Katlyn Chookagian (126) vs Antonina Shevchenko (125.5)
  • Daniel Rodriguez (170) vs Gabe Green (170.5)
  • Jamahal Hill (205.5) vs Klidson Abreu (206)
  • Tim Elliott (126) vs Brandon Royval (125.5)
  • Louis Smolka (136) vs Casey Kenney (136)
  • Chris Gutierrez (145.5) vs Vince Morales (145.5)

The Main Event is Set

Woodley’s early appearance on the scales could be taken as a show of confidence in making weight, which is an ordeal for Woodley because he walks around close to 200 pounds. On the flip side, it could mean he was ready to weigh in as soon as he was sure he was on weight, and wanted to beat any rehydration that would have pushed him over.

In either case, Woodley looked fit and ready to compete at a high level in an important fight. He comes into the bout with Burns as the No. 1-ranked welterweight in the world after losing his title to Kamaru Usman in 2019. This will be Woodley’s return bout, and the 38-year-old all-time great will be welcomed by the streaking Burns who has won five fights in a row.
