Karrion Kross def. Danny Burch; Keith Lee hit with Fireball

Poor Danny Burch never had a chance against NXT’s answer to a final boss.

Keith Lee stormed the ring, cut a rabid promo on Karrion Kross and emphatically slammed a contract down on the floor. It was the best contract signing segment on WWE TV in years.

NXT has spared no expense to present Karrion Kross as its biggest star, and now the man gets fire?!

Adam Cole Calls out Pat McAfee

Babyface Adam Cole is just a far more pissed off version of heel Adam Cole.

This crowd full of WWE developmental trainees didn’t seem too sure as to whether or not they were supposed to be cheering Adam Cole, but based on how Pat McAfee has been acting the answer is almost undoubtedly yes.

Surely Adam Cole won’t walk out to the ring with his entire four-man stable against a non-wrestling punter like Pat McAfee, right?

Santos Escobar vs. Tyler Breeze

With all due respect to Karrion Kross, Santos Escobar might be the best thing going in NXT.

Fandango tried to attack Santos Escobar and his entire squad with one arm and a stick and it went exactly as you’d imagine it would until Isiah Swerve Scott hit the ring.

Mia Yim vs. Indi Hartwell

Mia Yim worked this match like Shayna Baszler.

Indi Hartwell improves in leaps and bounds with every passing week.

Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest

This match showcased just how strong Damian Priest really is judging by how he was able to give a Falcon Arrow to the 300-pounder.

This match was so fun. These two had an immediate chemistry.

In one piece of random trivia, Bronson Reed slipped up on a top-rope splash at the exact moment Hangman Adam Page slipped up while attempting a power bomb on Jungle Boy. The respective matches ended at nearly the exact same time.

Aliyah and Mercedes Martinez def. Kayden Carter and Kaci Catanzaro

This match felt like a response to AEW’s Deadly Draw Women’s Tag Team Tournament.

Aliyah hit the lottery by tagging with Mercedes Martinez while she’s in full-on unbeatable monster mode.

Rhea Ripley appears to be on a collision course with Mercedes Martinez which makes me very nervous considering how much WWE has already dropped the ball on her.

Cameron Grimes def. Velveteen Dream and KUSHIDA—Triple Threat Match

Velveteen Dream’s return was a very polarizing moment in a head-to-head main event that previously seemed to be a shoo-in for AEW.

I was not surprised to see Velveteen Dream come up short, and I expect WWE to slow-play his comeback as its young star remains surrounded by controversy.
