Opening Segment Featuring Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman

Brock Lesnar is running out of time to get his revenge on Drew McIntyre for kicking him in the face three times.

Drew McIntyre has just as much tension with Paul Heyman as he does with Brock Lesnar. I have a fleeting feeling Heyman will be taking a bump at WrestleMania.

Brock Lesnar def. Seth Rollins and John Cena—WWE Championship at Royal Rumble 2015 (Re-Air)

From how he was booked to the commentary throughout this match, WWE went all the way out of its way to make Brock Lesnar a monster in this match. Boy was he ever.

It’s easy to forget about this match given the amount of content these days, but it’s one of the best WWE Championship matches in Royal Rumble history. To this point (in 2015), it may have been the best.

AJ Styles Challenges The Undertaker to a Boneyard Match

Given the fact that WWE approved a segment designed to expose Twitter Undertaker, it’ll be very difficult for some fans to see The Undertaker as The Deadman for this year’s WrestleMania.

As admirable as The Undertaker and Michelle McCool’s efforts to save tigers is, The Undertaker’s persona is the rare case where showing empathy for animals is a heel move.

Andrade and Angel Garza def. Ricochet and Cedric Alexander

Just so the pairing of Ricochet and Cedric Alexander didn’t seem so random, WWE could have shot a backstage segment where both were standing on a rug that was pulled out from under them by AJ Styles.

Judging strictly by how they’re dressed, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander look like a much more competent tag team.

Ricochet was bumping his heart out in this one. It’s like he thought this might be his WrestleMania moment.

Prior to Ricochet’s comeback, Montez Ford on commentary was turned down from an 11 to about a 4 and it was quite refreshing.

Just when Cedric Alexander was on his way to reminding WWE why they signed him, he played a part in screwing up the finish.

The Street Profits vs. Brendon Vick and Shane Thorn Brandon Vick

Shane Thorn was clearly the most talented wrestler in this match and actually got much more offense than I thought he would.

R-Truth to Riddick Moss “Go back to football, Randy Moss!”

Charly Caruso Interviews Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler looked like a monster sitting net to Charly Caruso, which is only a good thing.

This broadcast called for a lot of Charly Caruso acting and while she’s not terrible, she’s no Angela Basset.

Aleister Black def. Leon Rough

“Leon Rough” felt like a rib on Lio Rush.

This was one of the few segments where the announcers embraced the silence.

Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins Face Off

I don’t know if it was the slim-fit jeans he was wearing, but Kevin Owens seems to have lost a lot of weight recently.

This was a truly great heel promo by Seth Rollins but given the current circumstances of both WrestleMania 36 and the Seth Rollins character, it felt like too little, too late.

Seth Rollins said Kevin Owens had zero WrestleMania moments, but I beg to differ.

Charlotte Flair def. Asuka—WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 33 (Re-Air)

I’ve rewatched this match quite a few times in the past, and as much as I love it, I always turn it off right before it ends.

This match just might be in the Top 5 for most baffling finishes of the decade.

Randy Orton Addresses Edge’s WrestleMania Challenge

This feud sure is beginning to zero in on the Mick Foley references. Will he be the special guest referee?

Randy Orton had a great counterpoint to Edge calling him an entitled brat as he brought up Edge’s past as the “Ultimate Opportunist.”

This match will have no problem delivering regardless of when and where it takes place. It’s WWE’s one great WrestleMania feud this year.
