WWE Raw To Feature Major Surprise That ‘Everyone Will Like’ Per Report

WWE Raw will start its latest iteration of a new administration as Bruce Prichard takes over for Paul Heyman, who was recently removed from his post as Raw Executive Director.

Though Bruce Prichard represents a status quo in WWE not too different from the philosophies of Vince McMahon, WWE insider account @WrestleVotes reports tonight’s Raw will feature “something unexpected.” The accurate, news-breaking account went on to note they believe it’s something “everyone will like.”

WWE NXT Superstar Dominic Dijakovic has been posting several cryptic tweets, apparently teasing his impending arrival. Recent reports suggest Dijakovic’s call-up to the Raw roster is imminent. Among the tweets posted by Dijakovic, which include a picture of top Raw star Seth Rollins and a photo of the United States Championship, perhaps the most eyebrow-raising was an non-captioned tweet, posted Monday, June 15, brandishing a picture of Paul Heyman.

The confluence of events have led to speculation that the former NXT Superstar is set to make his main roster debut with Paul Heyman as his manager. Having said that, pro wrestlers are carnies at heart, and thrive on screwing with fans, often with meaningless teases, just to get them talking. John Cena’s Instagram is a prime example of this.

Raw’s ratings have sunk to historic lows throughout the pandemic as the three-hour show’s already struggling viewership has been accelerated in the empty-arena era. With WWE champion Drew McIntyre retaining on a WWE Backlash where no championships changed hands, WWE Raw is going to need to make a big splash to break out of its current funk as viewership for last week’s Backlash go-home show was a putrid 1.737.

WWE Raw has not cleared two million viewers since April 6.
