Sami Zayn Confronts Roman Reigns and Edge

I could tell just by the intensity between Roman Reigns and Edge that this will almost certainly be the direction for WrestleMania 37 as reported earlier.

I really hope these camera men are legitimately filming because they’re going to have some awesome footage for that documentary.

Shinsuke Nakamura def. Apollo Crews

Prior to this match, Kayla Braxton was scripted to ask the ridiculously foolish question: Has your desire for the Intercontinental Championship affected your friendship with Big E?

Big E was asked if Apollo Crews deserves an Intercontinental title shot so many times I thought Crews might have hired Michael Cole as a telemarketer.

Apollo Crews may have lost this match but WWE dedicated multiple segments to his full-fledged heel turn and he even got some promo time in. Tonight might have been Crews’ best night on the main roster.

Seth Rollins Appears Live

Seth Rollins’ suits are looking more and more like aluminum foil with every passing week.

It’s still unclear whether or not this is leading to a Cesaro feud or a Daniel Bryan feud, but I think Cesaro has a much higher ceiling as Rollins’ new disciple.

Tamina and Natalya def. The Riott Squad

At some point, The Riott Squad needs to file a restraining order against Billie Kay.

Tamina looks to have gotten herself into tremendous shape.

Poor Billie Kay was laid out by Tamina after this win. Hopefully WWE doesn’t run out of people to turn on Billie Kay before she finally lands a job.

“Ding Dong, Hello” with Bayley

Bayley knocked over the ficus plant during her entrance and Reginald, bless his soul, picked it up like a gentleman.

Bayely was hilarious insisting that Sasha Banks use the door.

Hopefully Reginald teaming up with Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks is a part of an evil plan from Carmella and WWE isn’t simply moving on from Reginald-Carmella without an explanation.

Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks and Reginald vs. Bayley, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax

Bayley had to wrestle in a turtleneck and socks.

With two matches against women in less than a month—and a win over Nia Jax—Reginald is officially an honorary member of the women’s division.

Nia Jax is on the verge of becoming a full-blown comedy character.

Rey Mysterio and Dominik def. The Alpha Academy by Disqualification

This felt like a battle to see who is in the back of the line in the tag team division given the losing ways of both these teams.

After WWE whiffed on another can’t-miss babyface, Otis looks to be headed for a heel turn of his own. It doesn’t matter how likable, lovable or hugable you are, if you sign a WWE contract you better know how to work heel.

Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Kevin Owens def. King Corbin, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso

SmackDown went to commercial with Cesaro struggling to swing King Corbin, and came back from commercial with him in full revolution.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were on opposite teams so I understand Daniel Bryan and Cesaro not fully trusting him in this match.

In an effort to promote how dangerous The Elimination Chamber is, Edge called it “the worst invention WWE has ever created,” which was a poor choice of words to get people to buy a pay-per-view.

Michael Cole was a one-man sound board during the closing sequences of this show, shouting out one finisher after another.
