Big E def. Sheamus—Falls Count Anywhere
The first round of the WWE Draft was very anti-climactic with just about everybody staying put with the exception of Seth Rollins to SmackDown.
Much of this match felt like Stone Cold Steve Austin’s famed grocery-store beatdown of Booker T, with Sheamus playing the role of Stone Cold Steve Austin
Big E is one of the few WWE Superstars whom I actually feel WWE will do right by, but it sure wasn’t encouraging seeing Sheamus dominate long stretches of this match with Big E covered in food.
It was great to see The New Day Back, and even better that Big E did not big league them. It looks like Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will be a tag team while Big E will continue his singles run, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Roman Reigns Announces an “I Quit” Match Against Jey Uso
Part of me thought the stipulation for Hell in a Cell would be a Tribal Hell in a Cell, which I feared would look like the Punjabi Prison.
My weeks-long hunch about an “I Quit” match between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns appears to be correct.
Lars Sullivan Crashes Matt Riddle and Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz and John Morrison
Another week, another instant replay for Matt Riddle kicking off his shoes during his entrance.
Lars Sullivan returned just time to extinguish Matt Riddle’s momentum as a rising star. In this promotion, the same is destined to happen to Lars.
