WWE Survivor Series 2020 Results: The Good, Bad And Ugly From Men’s Elimination Match

Team Raw shut out Team SmackDown as the Red Brand opened Survivor Series 2020 with a clean sweep victory. The match featured a bizarre pinfall elimination on the part of Seth Rollins, in what could be WWE writing him off of television.

SmackDown’s one-sided loss figures to play into the Roman Reigns storyline, though it did no favors for the other members moving forward, namely Otis, Kevin Owens and King Corbin.

Keith Lee’s New Theme Song

Keith Lee debuted new theme music in this 5-0n-5 Elimination match that was a tremendous upgrade from his previous version remixed for the main roster. The theme song even featured Keith Lee rapping his own lyrics, which helped endear his original NXT theme to fans.

Riddle

Riddle’s quiet surge continues weeks removed from winning two matches in the same night. Riddle avenged his stunningly quick pinfall loss to Baron Corbin at Survivor Series last year by pinning King Corbin this year. Being a surviving member of a match like this presented Riddle as one of the upper-echelon stars on either brand.

The Bad

Team SmackDown

Team SmackDown suffered a blowout loss, with not a single Superstar scoring a pinfall. Each member of Team Raw scored a pinfall. WWE figures to use SmackDown’s loss as part of Roman Reigns’ Head of the Table storyline after Jey Uso suffered the deciding pinfall.

The Ugly

Seth Rollins Sacrifices himself for Early Elimination

In what very well may have been his sendoff, Seth Rollins bizarrely sacrificed himself to Sheamus. Prior to being the first WWE Superstar eliminated from this match, Rollins said the phrase “for the greater good!” Perhaps this will be explained in the near future, but if this is the last we see of Seth Rollins before a reported hiatus, WWE very well may move on from this Messiah gimmick altogether.
