WWE’s Velveteen Dream Denies Allegations Of Inappropriate Behavior On Social Media

WWE NXT top star Velveteen Dream is under fire amid allegations of inappropriate behavior on social media.

Velveteen Dream became a trending topic worldwide after an unidentified fan took to the Squared Circle subreddit to allege the NXT star sent inappropriate photos. The account posted several screenshots of a flirtatious alleged conversation between Velveteen Dream and an underage fan. Allegations only intensified when a redditor claimed to have audio of the former NXT North American champion interacting with minors.

Dream’s alleged interaction with the fans was said to have been sparked by Dream inviting fans to DM him on Instagram. The accuser noted she was 17 and her friends were 15 and 16.

Velveteen Dream (real name Patrick Clark) has vehemently denied these allegations, posting a rare out-of-character tweet to categorically deny any wrongdoing on social media.

Dream’s tweet suggests he may have been hacked amid language of a private photo being “shared without [his] consent or knowledge.”

Velveteen Dream recently returned from an injury and was immediately placed on a meteoric track toward the NXT Championship. Dream has feuded with NXT champion Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era throughout the coronavirus-impacted tapings of WWE NXT.

A longtime fan favorite in Full Sail, Dream is expected to become the next challenger for NXT’s top prize.

But should there even begin to be legs to any allegations against Velveteen Dream, WWE, which won’t even say “coronavirus” on air, will be sure to err on the side of caution to distance itself from more controversy. After an ungodly week that featured the ugly end to the XFL and Black Wednesday, the last thing WWE wants or needs is another scandal.
