Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to exchange vows on July 12, but their pre-wedding celebrations have been in full swing since March. The Ambani family has arranged a lavish sangeet ceremony for the pair this Friday at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). The attire theme for the event is Indian Regal Glam. With the event already underway, celebs have started arriving at the venue.
Among the first ones to come, Orhan Awatramani aka Orry set cameras flashing with his glamourous attire. Donning a black and grey ensemble, Orry smiled at the paps while flaunting his watch which was wrapped around his palms.
Nimrat Kaur made her dashing entry in a beautiful dark blue saree which glistened resplendently owing to the exquise mirror work. Before heading inside, she posed for the shutterbugs with a wide smile across her face.
Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya was also present for the festivities, as he posed with his brother Veer. While Shikhar looked dashing in a blue and black sherwani, Veer donned a regal black sherwani.
Stebin Ben is also attending the festivities and he opted for a white sherwani set for the occasion. He stood and posed for the paparazzi while beaming with happiness.
Meanwhile, pop sensation Justin Bieber touched down in Mumbai on Friday morning to serenade the guests with his chart-topping hits at the sangeet ceremony. There are rumors circulating that popular singers Badshah and Karan Aujla will bring a touch of Punjabi music to the festivities. The sangeet is also expected to feature high-energy performances from Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh. Numerous other notable personalities from the Indian film industry are slated to join the Ambani family in marking this joyous occasion.
The Ambani family kicked off the final phase of their extravagant festivities by hosting a group wedding for 52 economically disadvantaged couples on Tuesday. They followed this up on Wednesday with Radhika Merchant’s mameru ceremony, a traditional Gujarati custom where the bride’s maternal uncles gift her with clothing and jewelry. This intimate gathering saw the presence of Bollywood stars such as Janhvi Kapoor, Orry, and Manushi Chhillar.
The night before the Sangeet, Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, organized a magnificent dandiya night. A multitude of stars graced the event with their presence, among them being celebrities like Manushi Chhillar, Meezaan Jafri, Shikhar, and Veer Pahariya. After Anant and Radhika’s glamorous union, the Ambani family is planning to conduct an Aashirwad ceremony on July 13, followed by the grand finale—a lavish wedding reception on July 14.
