Ek Villain 2 Cast: Tara Sutaria Opposite Aditya Roy Kapur After Disha Patani And John Abraham

After signing on Disha Patani for Ek Villain 2, filmmaker Mohit Suri has announced Tara Sutaria as his second female lead in the second part of the popular franchise that also features John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur. Mohit confirmed the news to a daily and revealed that the second female character in his film is a singer and he couldn’t have had a more suitable actor than Tara for the role as she is a trained opera singer. A report in Mumbai Mirror mentioned that Tara has been roped in opposite Aditya while Disha and John are a pair in the film.

The daily quoted Mohit saying, “It takes a lifetime to get the nuances of a musician but luckily for me, Tara has been training for this all her life. What more can a filmmaker ask for.” The report also mentioned that the director is trying to make his own universe of villains by exploring the ‘dark side of human relationships’ in his films back-to-back. Ek Villain 2 is the second film in the Villain franchise which was earlier spearheaded by Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra. The franchise is backed by Ekta Kapoor‘s Balaji Motion Pictures and she’s equally enticed by Mohit’s idea of the villain-universe.

Now that all four main actors are locked, the director is going to begin ‘ice-breaking’ sessions among them. The makers are eyeing January 8, 2021, as the release date and the shooting is expected to begin by the middle of this year.

Considering how Mohit Suri’s films are always big on music, the work has already begun on Ek Villain 2. The first film in the franchise had one of the best music albums of all time and the director doesn’t want to take that away from the second film. In his exclusive interview with India.com recently, lyricist Manoj Muntashir, who wrote the lyrics of Teri Galliyan from Ek Villain, revealed that a beautiful romantic number has already been finalised and work on the rest is on. Ek Villain 2 is the third joint outing for Mohit and Aditya. The director launched the actor in Aashiqui 2 and cast him in recently released film Malang.
