Entertainment News Today, March 14: After his last film – Zero bombed at the Box Office, Shah Rukh Khan decided to take a break from the movies. However, things seem to be changing now. The actor reportedly shot for a special role in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra that is being produced by SRK’s best pal – Karan Johar. Speculations are rife that he recently shot for his role in the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer. Now, a report in Mid-Day reveals the details about SRK’s character in the film.
Brahmastra is being made as a trilogy with many prominent names comprising the cast. Apart from Ranbir and Alia, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and South star Nagarjuna among others. SRK is reportedly playing the role of a scientist in the film who helps Ranbir’s character named Shiva in his journey. Brahmastra is a fantasy drama and its characters have taken references from the Hindu mythology. However, SRK’s character is entirely contemporary and comes at a crucial part in the story.
The daily quoted a source close to the development saying, “Shah Rukh’s character is one of the key highlights of the film and comes at a crucial point in the narrative. The film is a mix of fantasy and mythology, and it will be interesting to see how his scientist character helps Ranbir’s Shiva in his quest.”
Apart from Brahmastra, SRK has not yet decided Shah Rukh Khan Plays a scientist in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt be a part of any other film. He is, however, busy producing web-series and movies for various digital platforms. Red Chillies Entertainment, that is managed by Shah Rukh, backed recently released and critically acclaimed film Kaamyaab that featured Sanjai Mishra in the lead role.
