Turning into a cat-mom on her 24th birthday, Brahmastra star Alia Bhatt gifted herself a Persian cat on March 15, 2017, and named it Edward Bhatt. Ever since then the two have been inseparable and Alia’s Instagram handle is proof of the same.

Popping our eyes into hearts, the Gully Boy star is often seen posting pictures of her beautiful white feline. From addressing it as “beta” (son) to calling herself “mommy” whenever she posted messages from her pet while sharing its pictures, Alia is seen gushing like any other parent and we don’t see any reason why she shouldn’t.

The little furball not only makes appearances on Alia’s social media feed but also on her elder sister, Shaheen Bhatt’s Instagram handle. Once, Alia was even seen posing with Edward ahead of an event for which she had dressed up in a glittery blue gown and tagged her own self as “Mother of Cat” after Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

When filmmaker Zoya Akhtar‘s production company, Tiger Baby, joined Instagram, Alia was seen officially welcoming the page by “introducing” Edward to “Tiger baby”. Recently, Alia shared a picture of her golden-eyed pet and captioned it, “”beta pose karoooo” (sic).”

On the professional front, Alia is gearing up for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra that is slated to hit the cinema screens on December 8, 2020. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor essays the role of Shiva while Alia plays his love interest Isha. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ranbir’s guru and Mouni Roy is essaying the role of an antagonist. The film also features Dimple Kapadia and Akkineni Nagarjuna in important roles. Brahmastra is a trilogy produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions. As per recent reports, Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a scientest in the upcoming sci-fi.

Apart from this, Alia will feature opposite Ram Charan in SS Rajamouli’s RRR which is slated for a January 8th, 2021 release. The 27-year-old star also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in her kitty.
