In Pics: Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan Touchdown Cochin for Onam

Nayanthara recently jetted off to her hometown with her filmmaker boyfriend Vignesh Shivan recently to celebrate Onam festival. The couple travelled from Chennai to Cochin in a private chartered jet amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The pictures of the duo walking out of the airliner have been doing rounds on social media platforms. Nayanthara looks chic in a black pantsuit paired with a pair of neon yellow heels. Vignesh keeps it casual in a red t-shirt teamed with denims.

Vignesh took to his Instagram stories and gave a sneak peek of his travel. Airborne after a loooooong time! Phew. Good to see the clouds closer after 8 months of forced hibernation (sic).”

Vignesh too shared a picture of the two at the airport after landing and wished Happy Onam. Nayanthara has been dating Vignesh Shivan who directed her in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015). The couple who has been open about their relationship are not tying the knot anytime soon. They are currently happy with the way things are and are focusing on their professional goals.

Nayanthara was last seen in Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar. The action thriller directed by A. R. Murugadoss released in January, this year. The 35-year-old has a slew of films ahead in the pipeline. She will be seen in the upcoming devotional film Mookuthi Amman. The film, directed by RJ Balaji and N. J. Saravanan stars Nayanthara as the title character. Up next, Nayanthara has the Tamil action drama Annaatthe. Written and directed by Siva, the film has an ensemble cast comprising Rajinikanth, Meena, Khushbu Sundar, Keerthy Suresh, and Prakash Raj.

Vignesh, on the other hand, has his next announced project, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, a romantic comedy. His fourth feature film, as a director, got delayed due to the pandemic. The film will reportedly feature Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Samantha Akkineni. Makers haven’t yet revealed when the film is expected to roll.
