‘The Flash’ actor Logan Williams suddenly died at age 16.

Logan Williams, best know for playing the young Barry Allen on CW’s The Flash, passed away on April 2, 2020. He was 16.

The tragic news was confirmed by the actor’s mother Marlyse Williams, who told TriCity News that due to COVID-19 social distancing precautions, she is mourning the death of her son alone. “I am not able to Hugh my parents who lost their only grandchild,” she said.

Logan, who also starred as Miles Montgomery on the hit Hallmark TV series, When Calls the Heart, and as a young Elliot on horror TV series, The Whispers, earned himself a nomination for Best Newcomer at the UBCP/ACTRA Awards in 2015.

“It’s hard,” Williams said, knowing Logan still had so much life to live. He is survived by his father, Clive, his grandparents, and aunts and uncles. A cause of death was not immediately revealed.

Logan Booked His First Major Film Role At Age 10

Born on April 9, 2004, in Vancouver, Canada, he started pursuing an acting career at 10 years old and booked the very first role he ever auditioned for. In 2012, he played the role of Jack in the Hallmark film The Color of Rain, which starred Lacey Chabert and Warren Christie.

In addition to his recurring role on The Flash, he appeared on CW’s Supernatural in 2015. Between 2014 and 2016, he acted alongside Jack Wagner, Lori Loughlin, and Marin Cummins on When Calls the Heart.

“With his talent and gorgeous looks, Logan had the potential to be a huge star,” his mother said.

‘The Flash’ Co-Star Grant Gustin Shared a Heartfelt Tribute To Logan On Instagram

Actor Grant Gustin said that he was “devastated” after learning about Logan’s untimely death. The two shared a special bond, both starring as superhero Barry Allen at different stages in life.

He wrote of Friday afternoon, “Just hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly. This picture was early in the filming of The Flash pilot episode back in 2014. I was so impressed by not only Logan’s talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I’m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone.”
