‘Love Island’s’ Tre Forte Doesn’t Care About ‘Bro Code’

Tre Forte is one of the 11 singles who are ready to mingle and maybe find love on the new season of Love Island, premiering Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS with a special two-hour episode. Ahead of the premiere, here’s what you need to know about him.

He Played Football for Ohio State

According to Tre’s CBS profile, he grew up in Ohio and played football for the Ohio State University. According to Eleven Warriors, he walked on in 2013 as a cornerback. During his time there, he was an Academic All-Big Ten Selection and ended up graduating with a degree in sports management and marketing. He told Eleven Warriors that even though he didn’t play in very many games, he just wanted to be an inspiration to his younger brothers.

“Coming from Youngstown, Ohio, it’s not the easiest place to live, and I have four younger brothers that I wanted to be a good role model for,” Forte said. “I want them to take away from (what he has accomplished) that there’s always going to people who doubt you, but you should use that and turn it into a positive motivation. So you should go about all means to prove your doubters wrong, and don’t ever let anybody tell you that you’re not allowed to dream and that your dreams won’t come true, because if you work for it hard enough, then there’s always a possibility.”

His CBS page also said that if he could write his own dating profile, it would read, “If you like fun times, comical
memories, magical pleasures, a guy that will make sure his woman is happy, a man that will protect his woman and family, then I am him.”

In his video interview, Tre says he’s “very competitive” and if he sees a girl giving him the eye, he doesn’t care if she’s taken or not.

“To be honest, I don’t really care about ‘bro code.’ It’s Love Island, it’s not Bro Island.”

He adds, “People most likely label me as a player and they’re correct. I’m honest. I’ve been single for about four years now because I was a monster. I’m a changed man now. I told myself that the next girl that I’m with, I’m going to make sure I’m all in. So if I go on here and I meet an attractive girl who has a really good vibe and I connect with her, then the sky’s the limit. She may end up being my girlfriend, she may be my wife, who knows?”
