Malayalam Actor Shaji Thilakan Passes Away at 55

Malayalam actor Shaji Thilakan passed away at the age of 55 in Kochi. The actor, who was the son of late veteran actor and stage performer Thilakan is survived by his wife, Indira Shaji and daughter Abhirami.

Shaji was undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments. He was also an employee of Apollo Tyres and was active in the television world. The actor had played the role of villain in Mazhavil Manorama’s popular TV show titled Aniyathi and was appreciated for his performance.

Shaji’s father Thilakan was a known actor. He got married twice and Shaji was his son from the second wife named Shantha. Shammi Thilakan and Shobi Thilakan are his brothers. Shaji’s father has three children from his first wife Leela Thilakan.
