In a video that is going viral, groom Anant Ambani’s brother Akash Ambani’s best friend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, arrives at the wedding venue with wife and actress Alia Bhatt in tow.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are getting married today in Mumbai amid much fanfare. Guests from around the world have converged on the city to attend the grand wedding. Ahead of the pheras, the family members departed from Antilia and made their way to the wedding venue in luxury cars adorned beautifully with flowers. High-profile guests, including those from Bollywood, have also started to come in.

While Ranbir opted for a cream-coloured sherwani paired with white pyjamas, it was Alia who stole the show with a fuchsia pink silk traditional sari adorned with beautiful traditional kundan jewelry, including a statement gold choker studded with emeralds, earrings and a maang tika. She paired the sari with a stylish strapless brocade blouse. Holding Ranbir’s arm, she posed on the red carpet. The power had eyes only for each other as they exchanged a big smile. The video gives a glimpse of the opulent mandap with free-form tomb-like structures and the large stage set for the wedding. The ceiling, adorned with lights, creates a starry sky effect, and hanging flowers add a dreamy touch. The interiors are palatial, featuring shades of off-white, blush pink and pistachio green. There are ample seating arrangements, with hundreds of seats for guests to witness the beautiful union. That apart, the huge pillars have been intricately decked with traditional sculptural work.
