‘RHONY’ Star Leah McSweeney Deletes Instagram Photo With Rumored BF

Real Housewives on New York City star Leah McSweeney posted a photo of herself with a man on August 22. McSweeney, 37, captioned the photo, “Get yourself a cute financial advisor,” which led many to believe she was going Instagram official with her new beau.

However, that was not the case. McSweeney detagged the gentleman in her photo on Saturday, and on Sunday, the reality star deleted the picture from her Instagram page. The person in the photo reached out to Heavy via Twitter to say that he is not dating the Married to the Mob founder, but that they’ve been friends for 10 years. “I saw her for 1 hour this weekend after not seeing her for three years,” he explained.

The Married to the Mob founder shares one child, a 12-year-old daughter named Kier, from a past relationship with Rob Cristofaro. She has not gone public with any new romantic relationships.

McSweeney Is Focusing On Her New Sober Lifestyle

McSweeney, who’s had more than a few wild drunken nights while filming RHONY, recently went public with her choice to be sober. In June, she proudly posted on Instagram that she was alcohol-free for 90 days. McSweeney was previously sober for nine years but started drinking again six months before she started filming RHONY, according to People, and McSweeney admitted on the Bravo series that she struggles with moderation.

“Me and alcohol have a very weird relationship,” she said. “I am someone who actually enjoys like, completely like, going crazy.” The designer also said her decision to drink again was ruining her relationship with her mother.

“When you’ve had a nine-year period of not drinking and then decide to start doing it, obviously, rightly so, my mom is going to be worried,” McSweeney said. “For my mom, when she heard I’m drinking again, it’s just like a trigger to her. I definitely think that my mom still views me as that wild teenager. It’s very hard for her to accept me as a 37-year-old woman who’s got her s*** together.”

McSweeney Remains Incredibly Close With Her Daughter’s Father

McSweeney explained during her rookie season on RHONY that she shares a very special relationship with Rob. She said, “Rob is my baby daddy [slash] ex. It’s really hard for people to understand me and Rob’s relationship because it’s so unique,” Leah explained on the show. “We’re basically like an amazing married couple that doesn’t live in the same house and doesn’t have sex.”

She credited Rob as one of her cheerleaders to help give her the confidence to stay strong during the always dramatic RHONY reunion special. McSweeney told E! News of the taping, “The wake-up call was very early. I’m not the best sleeper. I was nervous and I kept stressing out about not being able to sleep and of course, I only slept from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. So, I did the reunion on three hours of sleep.

“But the adrenaline was running,” McSweeney continued. “I obviously talked to Martin, my trainer, talked to my mom, talked to [ex-husband] Rob. Martin was the one specifically, he’s just like, ‘Go out there and be you.’ That’s it.”
