Salman Khan And Hrithik Roshan Cancel Their April US Concert Tours Due to Coronavirus Scare

After team Sooryavanshi announced that they have postponed the release of their film amid the outburst of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in India, two superstars of the industry have also announced the cancellation of their upcoming world tours. Both Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan were set to interact with their fans in the US in April but all the programmes now stand cancelled due to coronavirus scare.

WHO officially declared coronavirus a pandemic on Wednesday. As per the Health Ministry, 74 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in India with one death recorded on Thursday night in Karnataka. This has heavily affected the film industry. The teams of both the superstars decided to take the precautionary measures and cancel all their tours a month before.

While Hrithik was supposed to go on a nine-day tour, starting from April 10, Salman’s was a 10-day tour from April 3 to April 12. The War star was set to interact with American fans in Chicago, New Jersey, Dallas, San Jose, Washington and Atlanta. For Salman, his brother Sohail Khan had organised the entire concert tour in the US and Canada. The actor was expected to meet his fans in Atlanta, New Jersey, Detroit, Boston, Toronto, Dallas, Houston, San Jose and Seattle. A report in Mumbai Mirror confirmed the news and also quoted Salman’s manager saying, “It is not advisable to travel right now. We will announce fresh dates once the scare subsides.”

Meanwhile, all the cinema halls in Delhi are officially shut till March 31. This is set to affect the business of Baaghi 3 which released recently and Angrezi Medium that hits the screens today. Following the outbreak, the Sooryavanshi team released an official statement on Thursday night announcing the postponement of their film until ‘the time is right’.
