Promising to be a laughter riot, the makers of Priyadarshan-directorial Hungama 2 dropped a new poster on actor Meezaan Jaffrey’s birthday. Starring actors Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan Jaffery and South Indian actress Pranitha Subhash in pivotal roles, the movie is the second installment of the 2003 comedy flick Hungama.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa shared the poster featuring her in a sultry one-shoulder blue top teamed with a maroon skirt with a thigh-high slit. Seated at a table with Meezaan and Pranitha, Paresh can be seen peeping out from under the table with an injection in hand. Pointing it towards Meezaan, Paresh gives a secretive expression while the latter and Shilpa are lost in each other’s eyes. Shilpa captioned the poster, “Presenting the new poster of #Hungama2! Gear up for confusion, laughter, and entertainment unlimited. Also, wishing @meezaanj a happy, ‘Hungama’-filled birthday (sic).”
The shoot was wrapped up in January this year. In an interview with a leading news agency earlier, producer Ratan Jain said, “Hungama has been one of the most iconic comedy entertainers of its times and is reminisced across age groups, we are super excited to revive this franchise brand back to the big screen. This Independence Day, get ready to go on a laughter ride with Hungama 2.”
Jointly produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and Armaan Ventures, Hungama 2 is slated to hit the cinema screens on August 14 this year.
