Sidharth Shukla Approached To Play Lead In Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2?

Recently producer Rashmi Sharma confirmed that popular show Saath Nibhana Saathiya was coming back with a second season. Now, according to latest reports, Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla has been approached to play the male lead in the show.

A source quoted in Pinkvilla said, “Sidharth is the first choice to play the male lead on Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2. The makers are currently in the process of enabling a discussion with him. The discussion is currently on a very primary level but if things work out, his fans would be in for a surprise.”

It has also been reported that Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who replaced Gia Manek as Gopi Bahu in the show will return to play the popular character. Devoleena and Sidharth were housemates in Bigg Boss 13 and the former has previously expressed the desire to work with the Balika Vadhu actor.

Rashmi Sharma had confirmed season 2 after a scene featuring Rupal Patel, Gia Manek and Rucha Hasabnis was turned into a rap by artist Yashraj Mukhate and went viral. The show has gradually acquired a cult status as many of its scenes have been made into memes.

However, Rupal Patel, who played Kokilaben said that she will not reprise her role in the new season as she is occupied with her current show Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. She said that she will not be able to do two shows.
