BTS, Aespa, STAYC, Nicki Minaj And Beyoncé: Notable Moves On This Week’s World Songs Chart

Next week, BTS is likely going to completely dominate the World Digital Song Sales chart with a slew of new tracks from their just-released album BE, but this time around, they don’t run the show like they normally do.

Here are five tracks whose moves are worth noting on this week’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

No. 2 – Davido – “Holy Ground (ft. Nicki Minaj)”

Last week, Nigerian talent Davido debuted his new single “Holy Ground,” a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, at No. 16 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, but now it’s nearly conquered the tally. In its second stay on the list, the tune shoots right to No. 2, becoming a huge win for both acts. The cut is featured on Davido’s new album A Better Time, which opens at No. 4 on the World Albums ranking.

No. 5 – Aespa – “Black Mamba”

Brand new South Korean girl group Aespa make their first appearance on the World Digital Song Sales chart this frame with their debut single “Black Mamba.” The track, which introduces the quartet to the world, opens at No. 5, instantly becoming a proper hit for the band, who share a label with fellow superstars like NCT, SuperM and Taemin, so this may be just the beginning for them.

No. 7 – BTS – “Filter”

After dipping outside the top 10 once again last frame, BTS’s “Filter,” a one-time leader on the World Digital Song Sales chart, returns to the loftiest tier on the tally. The cut is one of five from the band currently present on the list, which is actually a fairly low-key showing for the biggest band in the world.

No. 18 – Beyoncé – “Already (ft. Shatta Wale & Major Lazer)”

It’s been over a year since Beyoncé first released her album The Lion King: The Gift, and though she’s surely busy working on her next project, fans keep buying the tracks from that beloved effort. This week, two of them return to the World Digital Song Sales chart, with “Already” landing at No. 18 (after peaking in the runner-up space) while former champion “Brown Skin Girl,” a collaboration between Queen Bey, Wizkid, Saint Jhn and her own daughter Blue Ivy, is back at No. 24.

No. 21 – STAYC – “So Bad”

Just as brand new act Aespa makes a splashy debut at No. 5, so, too does STAYC, a six-member vocal act out of South Korea that also appears on the World Digital Song Sales chart for the first time with their single “So Bad,” their first release. Expect big things from this new outfit, who obviously already have quite the following.
