DaBaby And Roddy Ricch Score New Top 10 Hits While The Weeknd Continues To Rule

The Weeknd continues to control a Hot 100 that sees no movement inside the upper half of the top 10 with “Blinding Lights,” which has turned out to be a massive global hit. The track has now led the charge on the all-genre single list for four non-consecutive frames, only stepping aside to make room for Drake’s “Toosie Slide” to debut in first place.

The rapper’s one-week champion keeps in second place once again, having only managed one turn on the throne. The Weeknd and fellow Canadian musician Drake front a top five that looks exactly as it did last time around, with Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” and Doja Cat’s “Say So” holding at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively.

Up one rung to No. 6 this week is Post Malone’s “Circles,” continuing its historic run inside the top 10. The cut, taken from the hip-hop superstar’s latest album Hollywood’s Bleeding, has now lived inside the uppermost area on the chart for 34 weeks, something no other piece of music has managed before. 

Both Harry Styles’ “Adore You” and Justin Bieber and Quavo’s “Intentions” move slightly, landing at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively.

The only new entrant inside the Hot 100’s top 10 this time around comes from the powerful hip-hop duo of DaBaby and Roddy Ricch. Their joint single “Rockstar” debuts at No. 9, giving both acts just their second top 10 hit. Impressively, Ricch’s only two smashes are currently present inside the region, which is rare among artists who have so few wins to their credit. “Rockstar” is featured on DaBaby’s new album Blame It On Baby, which leads the Billboard 200 this turn.

The final track inside the newly-published Hot 100 is Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good,” which falls two spots to last place. The tune gives Drake more than one position inside the tier once again, though it looks like it might fall to No. 11 (or below) very soon.
