What’s your calling? It’s what you love to do. It’s what you’re good at. It’s something that makes a difference. Sometimes it feels like it’s what you were put here, on this planet, to do. Finding your calling unlocks a brand-new level of passion and purpose. There’s a chance you’ve already found it, you just might not have realized.

Here are 7 signs you have found your calling.

1.   Your actions match your plans

You make big plans and then you carry out the actions to match. There’s no disconnect between the grandiose plans you have for yourself and the habits you follow every minute of every day. When you define your big plans you also make the small, preceding plans that you know will get you there. You’re excited with every part of the process, because they’re all leading to you fulfilling the vision you have for your life and your place in the world.

2.   You reach a state of flow

You sometimes lose hours to what you’re doing. You begin, you get into it, and then you are in a state you feel like you could continue forever. You don’t like being interrupted; you want to focus, improve and complete. Your work feels effortless to produce. Somehow, you can just keep on going. You’re creating a masterpiece and it’s all falling into place.

3.   You can’t be deterred

You wake up each day raring to get going and convinced of your journey. Other people have different plans for you. For your career or your life or your time. But they don’t get to choose because you know what you need to do. You don’t need to be pep-talked into action to perform and you don’t need to be hyped up to begin. You’re intrinsically motivated to stay on your path and side-step all recommendations to do otherwise.

4.   You suspect you’re onto something

When you think of the future, of where this might lead, you feel unwavering confidence. You’re onto something and you know it, maybe others don’t yet. Whatever you’re doing, you know it has huge potential. You know you’re getting closer to its potential every day. You know it’s soon to change the world in a big way and you hope they are ready. Whether it’s the difference you’re about to make for others, or the example you’re going to set when you’re unleashed on the world; it’s coming and you can feel it.

5.   Your output is huge

It gets to mid-morning and you feel like it’s the evening. You’re typing furiously, training intently, putting in your energy and leaving nothing on the table. You’re efficient with your time because you’re so tunnel-vision. Your output is maximized and it doesn’t stop. The ideas arrive and you know what to do with them. The challenges occur and they bounce right off you. This is your jam.

6.   You’re happy

If this was your life, until the day you died, you’d be satisfied. You’d leave earth knowing that you gave it your all, you did what you were put here to do, and you fulfilled your potential. What you do makes you happy, adds value, and is useful to others. You weren’t the starving artist or the academic writing papers for no one to read. You were at the top of your game, having amassed a tribe and given value with your work. Only your calling will take you there.

7.   You’re making progress

Not only do you suspect you might be onto something, others can feel it too. You’re making progress and you see the signs. A small compliment, a well-placed criticism, an insightful question. You’re generating interest and they want more. The progress is happening and it’s going the right way. Maybe it won’t happen soon, but it’ll happen. Chunking good days together means progress is continuously made, and you’re doing that with ease.
