Every New Movie Coming To Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max And Disney Plus This Weekend

This past week, a cavalcade of new movies hit our favorite streaming services: Netflix

, Amazon Prime
AMZN
, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney Plus, etc. But there are plenty of more movies to come throughout the month.

And that includes this weekend, when 14 movies will hit those five streaming platforms. Here’s every one of them:

I’m Thinking of Ending Things (Netflix)

Plot summary: Despite second thoughts about their relationship, a young woman takes a road trip with her new boyfriend to his family farm. Trapped at the farm during a snowstorm with Jake’s mother and father, the young woman begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things stars Jesse Plemons, Jessie Buckley, Toni Collette and David Thewlis. The movie was directed by Charlie Kaufman.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things will be available to stream on Netflix on September 4.

Kandasamys: The Wedding (Netflix)

Plot summary: Jodi and Prishen are about to be married, but their mothers attempt to push their own demands and agendas for the big wedding day.

Kandasamys: The Wedding stars Jailoshini Naidoo, Maeshni Naicker, Madhushan Singh and Mishqah Parthiephal. The movie was directed by Jayan Moodley.

Take Me Home Tonight (Netflix)

Plot summary: Recent MIT grad Matt Franklin should be well on his way to a successful career at a Fortune 500 company, but instead, he rebels against maturity by taking a job at a video store. Matt rethinks his position when his unrequited high-school crush, Tori, walks in and invites him to an end-of-summer party.

Take Me Home Tonight stars Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler and Teresa Palmer. The movie was directed by Michael Dowse.

Take Me Home Tonight will be available to stream on Netflix on September 4.

The Lost Okoroshi (Netflix)

Plot summary: Haunted by dreams of an ancestral Okoroshi masquerade, a disillusioned security guard wakes up one morning to find himself transformed into a mute, purple spirit, in Abba Makama’s surrealist romp through the sprawling city of Lagos.

The Lost Okoroshi stars Seun Ajayi, Judith Audu, Tope Tedela, Ifu Ennada, Chiwetalu Agu, Demi Banwo and Ibrahim Jammal. The movie was directed by Abba Makama.

The Lost Okoroshi will be available to stream on Netflix on September 4.

Dino Dana: The Movie (Amazon Prime)

Plot summary: A 10-year-old and her sister must save their new neighbor from a prehistoric dinosaur.

Dino Dana: The Movie stars Michela Luci, Saara Chaudry, Richie Lawrence, Evan Whitten, Nicola Correia-Damude and Amish Patel. The movie was directed by J.J. Johnson.

Dino Dana: The Movie will be available to stream on Amazon Prime on September 4.

Awoken (Hulu)

Plot summary: A young medical student tries to cure her brother of a terminal sleeping illness.

Awoken stars Erik Thomson, Benson Jack Anthony, Sara West, Felicia Tassone, Melanie Munt, Amelia Douglass and Matt Crook. The movie was directed by Daniel J. Phillips.

Awoken will be available to stream on Hulu on September 6.

I Can Quit Whenever I Want (HBO Max)

Plot summary: A university researcher is fired, and recruits several colleagues to start making drugs to make a living.

I Can Quit Whenever I Want stars Edoardo Leo, Valeria Solarino, Valerio Aprea, Paolo Calabresi, Libero De Rienzo, Stefano Fresi, Lorenzo Lavia, Pietro Sermonti, Sergio Solli and Neri Marcorè. The movie was directed by Sydney Sibilia.

Spies in Disguise (HBO Max)

Plot summary: Super spy Lance Sterling and scientist Walter Beckett are almost exact opposites. But when events take an unexpected turn, Walter and Lance suddenly have to rely on each other in a whole new way. And if this odd couple can’t learn to work as a team, the whole world is in peril.

Spies in Disguise stars Will Smith, Tom Holland, Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillian, DJ Khaled, Masi Oka, Carla Jimenez and Olly Murs. The movie was directed by Troy Quane and Nick Bruno.

D2: The Mighty Ducks (Disney Plus)

Plot summary: An international competition for junior league hockey teams is being held in Los Angeles. Coach Gordon Bombay is picked to lead Team U.S.A. He reunites the “Mighty Ducks,” the teen misfits he once coached to victory.

D2: The Mighty Ducks stars Emilio Estevez, Michael Tucker, Jan Rubeš and Kathryn Erbe. The movie was directed by Sam Weisman.

D2: The Mighty Ducks will be available to stream on Disney Plus on September 4.

D3: The Mighty Ducks (Disney Plus)

Plot summary: Having achieved a modicum of fame from their earlier adventures, all the members of the Mighty Ducks hockey team are awarded scholarships to a prestigious prep school. But they must now play in the school’s uniforms and renounce their freewheeling style for the more disciplined approach of their new coach, Ted Orion.

D3: The Mighty Ducks stars Emilio Estevez, Jeffrey Nordling, Heidi Kling and Joss Ackland. The movie was directed by Robert Lieberman.

D3: The Mighty Ducks will be available to stream on Disney Plus on September 4.

Never Been Kissed (Disney Plus)

Plot summary: Josie Geller, a baby-faced junior copywriter at the Chicago Sun-Times, must pose as a student at her former high school to research contemporary teenage culture. But she hits a major snag in her investigation when she falls for her dreamy English teacher, Sam Coulson.

Never Been Kissed stars Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Michael Vartan, Leelee Sobieski, Jeremy Jordan, Molly Shannon, Garry Marshall and John C. Reilly. The movie was directed by Raja Gosnell.

Strange Magic (Disney Plus)

Plot summary: Bog King. leader of the Dark Forest, hates the notion of love and has ordered the destruction of all primroses, which are an essential ingredient of love potions. However, when he meets Marianne, a feisty fairy princess whose heart was broken by a philandering fiance, he begins to change his mind.

Strange Magic stars Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Sam Palladio and Alfred Molina. The movie was directed by Gary Rydstrom.

The Wolverine (Disney Plus)

Plot summary: Lured to a Japan he hasn’t seen since World War II, century-old mutant Wolverine finds himself in a shadowy realm of yakuza and samurai. Wolverine is pushed to his physical and emotional brink when he is forced to go on the run with a powerful industrialist’s daughter and is confronted with the prospect of death.

The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Famke Janssen, Will Yun Lee and Svetlana Khodchenkova. The movie was directed by James Mangold.

The Wolvering will be available to stream on Disney Plus on September 4.
