NEW DELHI: The railway’s freight loading touched a new high in November at 110 million tonnes, although the pace of growth slowed compared to the two months. which provides live data, shows that the railway’s earning during last month was Rs 10,684 crore, which was 4.7% more than the revenue from freight in November 2019.
“Loading has been high despite festival holidays and disruptions such as cyclone Nivar, growth in freight continued in November. This means that there is recovery as far as industrial activity is concerned,” Yadav said. The Railway Board chief said the trend of high loading of automobile continued in November and as many as 300 rakes were loaded with these products last month compared to 160 rakes during the same period in 2019.
