Man Drives Car Into Crowd Of Seattle Protesters Before Shooting Demonstrator

Protests in Seattle took a violent turn on Sunday after an armed man drove into a crowd of Black Lives Matter demonstrators before shooting and wounding a demonstrator.

KEY FACTS

The 27-year-old victim is in stable condition and was taken to Harborview Medical Centre, Seattle’s Fire Department said.

Video shared by Reuters shows a black car driving into protesters on 11th and Pine Street who tried to stop the car, the driver exited the vehicle with a gun and walked into the crowd.

Seattle Police Department says it has taken the man into custody, and that the gun was recovered.

No other injuries were reported, according to police.
