While most aspects of life in Germany are still on pause with the country locked down against coronavirus, one club in Lower Saxony found a way to keep clubbers entertained from a proper social distance with an automobile disco this week.

Club Index in Schüttorf, near Germany’s Dutch border, ran their second car disco in a parking lot Thursday, complete with a hardstyle techno DJ, flashing lights, performers and dancing—although attendees stayed in their cars.

With 250 cars allowed to enter with up to two passengers each, the auto disco brought in about 500 clubbers on Thursday, according to German media reports.

The organizers are reportedly planning a family-friendly version of the event later in the month.
