G Pen Roam And Moxie Concentrates: Gourmet Cannabis Made Perfect Together

Out here on the perimeter there are no stars. There is only one thing in my mind right now. But rather than focus upon the emotive hunger of Jim Morrison, I’ve discovered something different to challenge my visual and emotional sensibilities. That would be my new G Pen Roam. I got one just the other day. What the G Pen Roam does best, is to vaporize concentrates of pure cannabis for inhalation without the need for a flame or electric cord. This device makes me feel safe and cared for. I didn’t waste my hard earned money on just another nice looking device. This one I want to use for a while. It’s unusually easy to enjoy.

I just happened upon some really incredible and tasty concentrates from a company named Moxie out on the left coast. Please let me tell you that this is the stuff that my dreams are made of. What I hold in my hand is immediately lush and intellectual. I may be heading out on a very short plank, but I’m quickly impressed by their utter quality. This sticky stuff gets me really chilled and that’s a very good thing.

Over the recent years I have enjoyed many different methods for the inhalation of cannabis concentrates, some electric, some battery and still others blow torch driven. Some methods more successful at this task than others. I don’t care for the blow torch method at all. I’m old, so the Richard Pryor experience is still fresh in my memory. I like something that doesn’t involve fire, having heated my former house with wood. An arduous task to burn wood for heat with fire as the predeterminate. I prefer my fire a bit further away from my face, thank you.

The handsome unit sitting on my desk is my brand new implement, the G Pen Roam. This highly utilitarian device is made of heavy anodized aluminum. The shape and the quality of the material used remind me of my German-made, Leica M8 camera. Made with sturdy parts that are pleasing in the hand, the Roam got my attention right away. I saw one in action out in San Francisco in December and wanted one of my own. It’s really that simple. This device makes it easy for me.

The G Pen Roam is also extremely easy to clean afterwards. That is the key to success in my book. I don’t have time to figure out why I can’t see anything up close. The Roam is so simple, even an adult can use one and enjoy it!

Many of the units that are on the market are much more difficult to utilize and to keep fresh. The G Pen Roam is just about the easiest unit I’ve ever had the chance to smoke out of. And what a gentle smoke it is. With the internal container that holds about a tablespoon of water, (all you’ll need), the Roam is super simple to keep in perfect shape. All you need to clean it up is a Q-tip and some ISO. I like mine a lot for the simplicity. The eight hundred degree heat will burn off any crud you may accumulate.

The Moxie concentrates are equally enjoyable as my G Pen Roam. I’m enjoying a tiny sample of Cookies and Chem, a salubrious (and humorous, as it actually makes me laugh) combination of Cookies n Cream and Stardawg. This live resin “sauce” is lush and smooth against the palate. I enjoyed a tiny nugget, just about half the size of a grain of Jasmine rice into the silicone cup. Gravity is your friend with tools of this quality, let it work for you. The Roam turns on with five clicks of the button. There is a temperature gauge in both Centigrade and Fahrenheit on the side of the grip and the range goes up or down from six hundred to eight hundred degrees F. Two short clicks activates the heater, thirty or so seconds later you see a small puff of clean vapor from the top of the heating element. Then you’re good to go.

Just so you know if you bump into me at a sesh, I much prefer a “low temperature” dab of concentrate, it is much easier on my throat and I can taste and smell the ample “terps” that fill my mind with possibilities and conversations, all a careful six feet away. We can learn to smile from afar.

Moxie Concentrates are not overwhelming in their potency. But they offer a mind cleaning experience quite unlike other concentrates I’ve had the good fortune to enjoy. For my own particular medical needs, the Moxie concentrates are exactly what the doctor ordered. They relieve the pressure behind my eyes with fun and ability. This is why I enjoy certain types of cannabis concentrates. Moxie being part of this close-knit crowd of flavors. Each makes me smile in a knowing fashion.

Tasting Notes for the concentrates out of the Roam:

Cookies and Chem: Toasted hazelnuts and cut French herbs give way to Asian spices like lemongrass and coriander. Full body high with focus on the extremities. Stay away from wheeled vehicles with this version. Too potent for the beginner, just about right for the expert.

Lemon Burst: Citrus in the nose followed by petrol and crushed minerals, salt predominates into earth and char. Gorgeous stuff. Brain food for dreaming most of the afternoon away. Calls out for a Ti Punch comprised of Rhum Agricole Vieux, Cane Sugar Syrup and freshly crushed limes.

Sour Sandia: Petrol and crushed pine needles in the nose give way to whiffs of candy sugar and balsamic vinegar at the finish. Luscious, buttercream notes across the palate. A deep and intensely intellectual experience that evolves in time.

Wedding Cake: This version of the classic cake is a savory, brimming with caramelized butter and tangles of nutmeats. Notes of spring flowers come into view into every puff. The high is deeply illuminating and utterly humbling in scope.
