With over 40 airlines around the world temporarily grounding their entire fleets, and many major carriers canceling more than 90% of scheduled flights, airlines are seemingly running out of room to park their aircraft.

EasyJet have temporarily grounded their entire fleet and furloughed the majority of their staff. EasyJet a320 aircraft can be seen parked wingtip to wingtip at Southend airport.

Emirates parked their aircraft at Dubai International Airport and also nearby Al Maktoum Airport. The UAE carrier is set to reinstate a handful of flights from April 6.

British Airways have suspended 96% of their scheduled flights and aircraft can be seen parked at Glasgow and Bournemouth airport.

Turkish Airlines have also now suspended most of their flights, with aircraft parked alongside the already-grounded Boeing 737-MAX jets.

British Airways have been ferrying most of their Boeing 747 jumbo jets to both Bournemouth and Cardiff airports. Flight Radar tracked many 747s making the short 20-minute hop from their base at Heathrow airport this week into temporary storage at Bournemouth.

The Dutch carrier KLM announced that they would retire their remaining seven Boeing 747 jumbos early. They can currently be seen parked at Amsterdam Schipol Airport.

The German airline Lufthansa has grounded 700 of their 763 aircraft. The remaining jets are being used for vital and repatriation flights.

It is currently unclear when many of these aircraft will return from temporary storage. Some older, less fuel-efficient aircraft may be retired early.

Cathay Pacific has grounded more than 96% of flights. Aircraft can be seen parked along the aprons and taxiways at Hong Kong International Airport.
