WWE Draft 2020 Results: The Fiend And The Winners, Losers Of Night 2 On Raw

Night 2 of the 2020 WWE Draft produced another batch of newsworthy selections as The Fiend and Alexa Bliss will resume their alliance on Monday nights. Meanwhile, Elias made his WWE return and is set to feud with Jeff Hardy.

With both nights of the WWE Draft now in the books, several winners and losers emerged given how their career projects moving forward.

Winners: The Fiend and Alexa Bliss

Positioned as one of the biggest stars of the draft, The Fiend was the first overall pick of Night 2, just as Drew McIntyre was the first overall pick of Night 1. After a baffling run of apocalyptical booking in 2019 through early 2020, The Fiend has slowly been rebuilt as a top star in WWE as the promotion moves forward with an intriguing alliance alongside Alexa Bliss, who was also drafted to Raw. Their compelling attack on Andrade and Zelina Vega showed tremendous promise as The Fiend could be a candidate to dethrone Drew McIntyre.

Losers: RETRIBUTION

The next chapter in WWE’s most harebrained storyline continued Monday night as RETRIBUTION was inexplicably drafted to Raw. The group which debuted as a vigilante stable with a clear intent to destroy WWE was not only signed to WWE, it was also included in the draft pool and drafted to Raw. T-BAR attempted to explain the reasoning behind this disconnect on Twitter, but only a fraction of WWE’s dwindling audience was privy to this information as WWE continues to ignore large holes in storytelling on TV.

Winner: Lars Sullivan

For the second time in two appearances, Lars Sullivan made an appearance on WWE television and laid waste to big-name stars when he destroyed The Miz and John Morrison. Sullivan was later drafted to SmackDown, where he’ll walk into a return match—and likely victory—over WWE legend Jeff Hardy. Not a bad way to come back from injury/cancellation.

Loser: Keith Lee

Keith Lee has treaded water on Raw, where WWE already paired him with Drew McIntyre in an underwhelming television match. Lee stayed put on Raw, where he will not receive a much-needed change of scenery and is likely to continue to run in place for the foreseeable future.

Winner: Elias

Elias made a dramatic return on Raw, attacking Jeff Hardy and later being drafted to the red brand. Elias figures to be in the thick of things in short order, as WWE appears to be using Jeff Hardy to get younger stars over. Best of all, Elias returned as a heel, where he does his best work.

Loser: Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy took a pinfall loss to AJ Styles in a Triple Threat match and will now have to walk the plank in what will almost be a certain loss against Lars Sullivan Friday on SmackDown. Hardy also figures to be on the losing end of Elias’ first match back, however as a future Hall of Famer, his legacy is solidified and perhaps he could be most valuable to WWE getting over up-and-coming talent.
