Opening Segment Featuring Shane McMahon

The Elimination Chamber will feature Drew McIntyre defending his WWE Championship against five former WWE champions in AJ Styles, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton and The Miz who continues to collect world title shots like Kenny Omega collects belts.

This Elimination Chamber will give WWE time to stall until Sheamus inevitably faces Drew McIntyre at WWE Fastlane.

The obscure history between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre was acknowledged, however when Shane McMahon stared down Omos, Omos looked at him like he had never even met him.

AJ Styles def. Jeff Hardy

The WWE announce team didn’t seem entirely certain that the Elimination Chamber could keep Omos out, and based on how WWE books its cage matches, I’d say it’s a good bet it won’t.

These two worked their tails off in a very good wrestling match, but WWE is getting too comfortable with Jeff Hardy tapping out.

The New Day def. T-BAR and MACE

Mustafa Ali was turned up to 11 on commentary and didn’t come down, not even for a second.

Xavier Woods continues to go into business for himself, this time on camera, but challenging RECKONING time and again.

Day Break is the perfect pun for The New Day’s finisher.

Lacey Evans def. Charlotte Flair by DQ

Ric Flair walked into the ThunderDome with one of the best, most charismatic suits anybody has worn on WWE TV in years.

If Ric Flair continues to be able to cut these great promos hyping up Lacey Evans, Evans may live past her potential by WrestleMania.

Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair actually would make quite the heel tag team down the road, especially if Ric Flair is part of that package.

Edge Appears Live

The longer Edge waits to decide which champion he’s going to challenge, the more he come off as a heel.

Edge cut yet another instantly great promo, this time against The Miz in a promo that made it seem like they were in a WrestleMania feud.

Angel Garza actually makes a good fit alongside The Miz and Morrison.

Damian Priest def. Angel Garza

That poor lothario Angel Garza had to do a job less than a week before Valentine’s Day.

Bad Bunny seems right at home as a hype man for Damian Priest.

Keith Lee def. Riddle

This match was building Keith Lee vs. Lashley by seeing who was better at rag-dolling Riddle.

Just when it seemed like WWE was setting up a Clash of the Titans between Keith Lee and Bobby Lashley (which they still might be), Lashley stormed in afterward and laid them both out. If Lashley isn’t the frontrunner to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania I don’t know who is.

Lana def. Nia Jax—Tables Match

Despite this match coming two months late, I’m proud of WWE for sticking with this storyline and finally paying it off properly with a Tables Match. I was even pleasantly surprised to see Lana win.

Nia Jax’s trash-talking was on point as she called Naomi by her real name and was even bleeped out when she said “King Kong ain’t got [expletive] on me!”

Naomi def. Shayna Baszler

Lana and Naomi could be something as a tag team as soon as they at least start to coordinate their gear.

Even in her finest hour Lana had to sell while celebrating due to being thrown around by Shayna Baszler.

Randy Orton def. Drew McIntyre by DQ

Randy Orton didn’t lift a finger to stop another Hocus Pocus incident from happening. If Alexa Bliss uses more magic to cost him this match, he’ll only have himself to blame.

There was so much talk about how the odds were against Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber, I almost think there’s no way he’s losing.

It felt far too early for Drew McIntyre to be getting his payback on Sheamus after the man just turned heel last week.
