Taylor Swift’s ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Reclaims Number One for Lucky 13th Week

Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess also reaches new high at Number Four

After a two-week break out of the top spot, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department reclaimed Number One on the album charts.

Tortured Poets’ now-13th week atop the Billboard 200 further adds to a personal best for Swift among her albums; Red and 1989 previously spent 11 total weeks at Number One, Billboard reports, but TTPD broke that record three weeks ago with a 12th straight week in the top spot.

New albums by Eminem and Stray Kids dropped Tortured Poets down to Number Four the past two weeks, but Swift took back Number One on the strength of a 71,000-total units sales week, giving The Tortured Poets Department 13 — also Swift’s lucky number — non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200.

Swift has also laid the groundwork for a 14th week at Number One by offering yet another limited-time-only variation of TTPD, this time with a “First Draft Phone Memo” version of “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys.”

Elsewhere in the Top 10, the aforementioned Stray Kids dropped from Number One to Number Six this week with their new LP ATE. Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time — which spent 19 weeks at Number One between March 2023 and March 2024 — jumped up to Number Two, followed by Zach Bryan’s Great American Bar Scene at Number Three.

Fresh of Chappell Roan’s viral Lollapalooza set, the singer’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess also enjoyed its best chart position so far by rising up to Number Four. Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft followed at Number Five.
