AEW Dynamite featured the return of PAC, The Young Bucks vs. Top Flight and The Inner Circle in Las Vegas.

AEW Dynamite drew 764,000 viewers for its Full Gear fallout show compared to 632,000 viewers for WWE NXT.

AEW Dynamite Results: Wednesday, November 18, 2020

The Young Bucks def. Top Flight

The announce team made sure to hit viewers over the head with the parallels between Top Flight and The Young Bucks, but the match did just a good a job of that, if not better

Between the length of this match and the video promo package for Top Flight, AEW Executives The Young Bucks clearly have big plans for these kids.

Jack Evans and Angelico attacked Top Flight after this match and The Young Bucks chased them off, probably to emphasize the fact that they are, indeed, babyfaces.

The Inner Circle Goes to Las Vegas

This Inner Circle storyline is working just as hard to build up Sammy Guevara vs. MJF as it is Chris Jericho vs. MJF.

In this city, Jericho and MJF’s continued pettiness could very well with Jericho trying to out-gamble MJF and losing all his money.

Even inside Drai’s, with beautiful women performing a private dance for them, Jake Hager and Wardlow still couldn’t help but stare at each other.

Orange Cassidy vs. Kip Sabian

In the segment before this, Jon Moxley revealed Renee Young was pregnant, and he did it in the most Jon Moxley way possible: Midway through a promo as an aside.

I wonder how comfortable Miro is being booked as a midcard comedy character as part of his first few months with AEW.

During this match, Jim Ross predicted December 2 will be the “greatest night in our company’s history,” which has to be a rib on Tony Schiavone.

As soon as this match was over, Miro hit the ring from the announce table in record time.

Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley Contract Signing

Whoever took Jon Moxley out was probably from North Carolina.

I don’t know who took Jon Moxley out, but I’m guessing they’re from North Carolina.

Pac vs. The Blade

Eddie Kingston prematurely declared the “Death Triangle” dead and nobody on the announce team had the gall to correct him.

In order to entice fans to stick around during the break Jim Ross told fans that Eddie Kingston “could say anything,” which is not how picture-in-picture works at all.

This match dragged more than I thought it would, but perhaps Eddie Kingston on commentary outshined everything going on in the ring.

The Death Triangle is back in full force with new theme music and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Serena Deeb vs. Thunder Rosa—NWA Women’s World Championship

This might have been the best straight-up wrestling match on either show.

Britt Baker and Reba staged a distraction where Britt Baker hit her finisher on Thunder Rosa on the outside, but still this match weirdly continued for another couple of minutes as a back-and-forth battle before Serena Deeb barely won. An odd finish to a very good match.

Ricky Starks and Brian Cage def. Cody and Darby Allin

Cody illustrated his impeccable ability to further a storyline and self-promote as he wore a t-shirt from his pizzeria in order to troll Shaq for being a Papa John’s spokesperson.

Taz understandably upset that his guys had to stand in the ring and watch a creepy Darby Allin vignette, which was as creepy as any this week. At one point, Allin set himself on fire and it had to be one of the safest things he’s done all year.

Taz wasted no time getting involved in this match, he didn’t even wait until they came back from break.

The fact that none of the men in this match has ever been a world champion in AEW speaks to the level of talent in this company.

I wonder if this is all building to a title for title match between Brian Cage and Darby Allin, which would also be a way to unify/get rid of the FTW Championship.

Will Hobb’s heel turn was so well done it’s ridiculous.
